A little more about sharing and getting started.
Can I pause location sharing?
Yes. You can pause or turn off your own location sharing in the app. With your permission, location can update while the app is closed, so your family can see your latest shared position.
Does 1UpFam keep a route history?
Current location updates replace the previous point; there is no route replay or breadcrumb trail. Saved-place arrival and departure records are kept for 90 days, and private recovery backups for up to seven days. Our privacy policy explains what is kept and your deletion choices.
Can my whole family join?
Up to 40 members of one private family group can stay connected, with households for separate homes and chats. Request a beta invitation first; we'll explain access for Android and iPhone. Once you're in your family group, open Profile to join a household with one tap. Leave your current household before joining another.
Is this the Family Locator app?
Yes. Family Locator is now 1UpFam. If you're already testing, your existing family, settings and data remain in place. For installation or account help, visit Support.
